Getting started
Add A.M.A.R. or M.A.C.R.O. to your Discord server, from our website or from Discord, and have it working in a few minutes.
1. Add the bot
There are two ways to start, and they end up in the same place.
- From our website: choose Get started, create your free account and workspace, then pick your server in Discord. We'll notice when the bot arrives and take you straight to the next step.
- From Discord: use Add App on the bot's profile or in Discord's App Directory and pick your server. The bot posts a welcome message there. A server admin chooses Set up on it, then Link ASCA and add this server, which walks you through signing up, connecting Discord, and adding the server to a workspace.
2. Choose where it works
The bot checks the channels and threads it can see. Give its role access to the channels you want checked, take it away from any you don't, and allow Manage Threads if you use private threads.
3. Pick a private report channel
In Discord, run /setup and choose a private staff channel. That's where the bot sends reports with Approve and Reject buttons. Reports never go to public channels, and the bot checks it can post there first.
4. Activate it
Open the server in your dashboard and choose Activate. You'll see each feature that turns on, with a plain explanation, and you can switch off anything you don't want. Everything that costs nothing extra starts on, such as reading the conversation, malware checks on every file, and, for M.A.C.R.O., calm notes and support for members in distress.
After that, you can change settings in your dashboard or right in Discord with /settings.
