Short description
ASCA Initiative is an independent software company building tools that help student organizations, communities, and businesses run. Its first products, A.M.A.R. and M.A.C.R.O., are moderation bots that help Discord communities catch harassment, scams, and conflict while keeping people in charge of decisions. ASCA began in 2023 inside the Orange Airsoft Club at Oregon State University and now operates independently of both. Paid plans from businesses and communities cover the cost of running ASCA and keep it free for student organizations, which help shape its products.

Stories we can help with.
Built inside a student club
ASCA began when a student club built the tools it couldn't find, and became an independent company.
Read the origin storyFree for students, paid by businesses
Student organizations use ASCA free. Paid plans from businesses and communities cover the cost.
How the model worksModeration that explains itself
Two Discord bots that start in report-only mode, explain every decision, and never sell what they read.

Security Advisory: CVE-2026-111497
A high-severity Node.js vulnerability affected some ASCA Discord bot services. All affected services are patched, potentially exposed credentials have been rotated, and we have found no evidence of compromise.
How one student club's operating problem became ASCA
The Orange Airsoft Club was trying to keep members, events, equipment, partners, and payments working across systems that were never designed to connect. ASCA grew from the infrastructure its officers built to make the club sustainable.
Why ASCA is free for student organizations, and who pays for it
Student organizations use ASCA free because that is why ASCA exists. Paid plans from businesses and communities cover the cost, and your members' data is never the price.
A.M.A.R. 2.0 is here, rebuilt for the communities that count on it.
A rebuilt A.M.A.R.: more control for your moderators, clearer boundaries for members, and safer handling of the files and images people share every day.
