Student organizations use ASCA free because that is why ASCA exists. Paid plans from businesses and communities cover the cost, and your members' data is never the price.
Real responsibility, no software budget
Student organizations run memberships, events, waivers, equipment, elections, payments, partnerships, and online communities, usually with a leadership team that changes every year.
Most do it with little money and less time. Without a software budget, officers end up rebuilding the same spreadsheets and forms the last team left behind. ASCA started inside a student club that lived exactly that, so we decided early that verified student organizations shouldn't have to pay for the tools to run themselves.
Free means the real thing
Plenty of free products are really trials: the controls you need, your history, or support only appear once leaving has become hard. That's not what we mean.
Free for student organizations means:
- The same protection as everyone else. Student organizations get the same security and privacy safeguards as paying customers, not a lesser version.
- No trading your data for access. We never ask officers to hand over member data in exchange for using ASCA.
- Built to survive a change of officers. Records and settings belong to the organization, not to whoever happened to set it up.
Free does mean no ASCA subscription. Some costs come from outside ASCA and can still apply, like card processing fees charged by the payment processor, optional physical services, usage beyond what's included, or custom work you ask for. We tell you about any of these before you agree to them.
Who pays for it
Businesses, venues, associations, creators, and online communities pay for ASCA plans, such as A.M.A.R. and M.A.C.R.O. paid plans for a Discord server. They pay because the tools help them run, not because they're asked to sponsor something unrelated.
That's the deal that keeps student access free: products good enough that other organizations choose to pay for them.
Your members' data is never the price
A platform that connects student communities with local businesses could make money the easy way: collect profiles, share member lists, sell targeting. ASCA doesn't.
When another organization needs something from yours, it gets an answer to a single question, not your records:
- Is this person eligible for this benefit?
- Is this participant registered for this event?
- Is this organization an approved partner?
- Is this ticket or pass valid here?
A venue learns that someone has registered and signed the waiver. It doesn't see their club history. A sponsor supports your event. It doesn't get your member list.
You stay in charge
Free access doesn't hand your decisions to us. Your organization still decides who joins, who manages it, how events run, how elections follow your bylaws, and how your community is moderated. ASCA gives you the tools and keeps the records. It doesn't become your organization, your school, or your venue.
How to get it
A.M.A.R. and M.A.C.R.O. are available to everyone today, and student organizations can request free access.
The rest of ASCA, from hosting events to running your website, is in private early access. We open it a few organizations at a time, starting with student organizations facing the problems ASCA was built to solve and the partners who support them. Apply for early access.
