What each bot checks when people share images, documents, and links.
Safety first
Every supported file is scanned for malware before anything reads it. A file that fails the scan is flagged straight away and is never opened.
What's checked
- A.M.A.R.: images and text-based files on every plan, plus the text inside PDFs and Office documents from the Mini plan.
- M.A.C.R.O.: images and text-based files from the Mini plan; PDFs, Office and OpenDocument files, and scanned pages on Pro and Ultra.
- Supported documents: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OpenDocument files.
What isn't checked yet
Animated images, archives such as ZIP files, programs, audio, and video. When someone shares one of these, the bot sends it to your moderators rather than quietly letting it through.
