Messages your moderators act on will be shared with ASCA
You're reading a notice. This page doesn't change any of your settings.
We show this notice because this shares messages with ASCA to improve the bots, which ASCA doesn’t otherwise do with your server’s messages.
When one of your moderators approves or rejects what the bot did, or chooses an action from a report, ASCA receives that message, the bot’s result, and the moderator’s decision. ASCA uses them only to make A.M.A.R. and M.A.C.R.O. more accurate.
Unless your server turns on shadow mode, ASCA doesn’t use your server’s other messages to improve its products. Shared messages and decisions are kept under ASCA’s retention policy and aren’t removed automatically.
Members can always tell ASCA a result was wrong, whether or not this is on. You can turn sharing off at any time, which stops future sharing.
Processing and sharing
ASCA receives applicable content to provide moderation. Approved infrastructure and processing services may handle it for that purpose under access and purpose restrictions. ASCA does not sell moderation content to advertisers or data brokers or use it to train general-purpose AI models.
Retention and access
How much earlier activity is used depends on your features, settings, and plan. Records needed for security checks, abuse investigations, or audits may be kept longer. Some protected moderation records used for security checks and troubleshooting currently have no automatic deletion date. Backups and legal holds can delay deletion. Authorized personnel may access relevant records when needed for support, security, review, or legal obligations; access is restricted and audited where applicable.
Controls and limitations
Administrators choose the rules, content limits, moderator approvals, and bot access available with their plan. Removing a bot stops future access but does not erase existing records. You can request an account export or closure in privacy settings. Sign-in protection, restricted access, encryption, request checks, and access records reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee absolute confidentiality or security.
Revisit or change your choice
Review your choices and manage account privacy requests in Privacy and transparency. Your server settings control moderation, and Discord lets you change which channels the bot can access. When we show this notice before a choice, closing it without continuing keeps your current settings. Removing a bot stops future access but doesn't delete records already kept for security or audits.
