The bot flagged something but didn't act
Why a flagged message stayed up, and how to change that.
Common reasons
- The bot hasn't been activated yet, so it only reports.
- Your server is set to Report only or Ask a moderator.
- The bot wasn't confident enough to act on its own, so it asked your team instead.
- The action is turned off, for example warnings or time-outs.
- The bot's role is below the member's role, so Discord won't let it act.
What to do
- Check for a waiting report in your report channel or review queue.
- Open the server's page in your dashboard to see and change what the bot is allowed to do.
- If Discord blocked the action, move the bot's role above the roles of the members it moderates in your server settings. It only needs the permissions for the actions you turned on, never Administrator.
