Be ready for a raid or a bad night
What to set up before your community has a rough moment, and what to do during it.
Before it happens
- Make sure enough of your moderators can act on reports. Allow a moderator role with /setup.
- Turn on automatic deletion and warnings so clear-cut spam is handled even when nobody's online.
- Add a passkey or authenticator app to every account that manages the server.
While it's happening
- Work from the report channel: each report updates when someone handles it, so the team doesn't double up.
- Use Time out 1 hour for members who keep going after a warning.
- Keep personal details and screenshots of private messages out of public channels.
Afterwards
Review what the bot caught and what slipped through, adjust your settings, and let your community know what changed. If something didn't work as expected, contact support with the server name and roughly when it happened.
