Request requirements
ASCA reviews a request for:
- The requesting authority and jurisdiction.
- Legal form, signature, and apparent validity.
- The account, organization, record, and time period requested.
- Whether the request is specific and proportionate.
- Conflicts with law, another person’s rights, privilege, confidentiality, or an organization’s responsibilities.
- Any prohibition on notice.
ASCA may seek clarification, narrow an overbroad request, object, or require formal process where appropriate.
Minimum disclosure
ASCA aims to disclose only information responsive to a valid request and available within ASCA’s custody or control. ASCA does not create records that do not exist or provide confidential security architecture merely because it is requested informally.
Organization-controlled records, connected-service records, and ASCA platform records may have different responsible parties. A requester may be directed to the appropriate organization or connected service.
User and organization notice
ASCA may notify an affected account holder or organization before disclosure unless notice is legally prohibited, would create a credible safety risk, or would compromise a lawful investigation. Notice timing and content depend on the request and applicable law.
Emergency requests
ASCA may evaluate a documented emergency request involving an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm. Emergency review does not guarantee disclosure, continuous monitoring, or real-time response. Contact local emergency services for immediate assistance.
Preservation
ASCA may preserve identified records when required by valid legal process or when reasonably necessary to prevent loss while a proper request is obtained. Preservation does not itself authorize disclosure.
Transparency and confidentiality
ASCA may publish aggregate information about requests when lawful and useful. ASCA does not publish confidential request details, private user information, security methods, or information that would compromise an investigation.
Submission contact
General inquiries may be sent to [email protected]. This policy does not represent ordinary email as an approved method for formal service, emergency disclosure, or preservation process. Requesting authorities must use the method required by applicable law and any submission instructions provided in response.
